With two decades as a Business and Real Estate Attorney and 15 years as a Food Entrepreneur, Ms. Richardson understands how to get things done. As a former White Collar Crimes Investigator and Prosecutor at the local and federal level, April has led teams through tough and complex matters often providing training to the Secret Service, FBI, and other elite law enforcement agencies.
In addition to practicing law at The Private Practice Law Group, Ms. Richardson owns two retail bakeries, Baked In Baltimore and DC Sweet Potato Cake, and she owns a baked goods manufacturing company where her products are sold in Starbucks, Nordstrom, Wegmans, Safeway, QVC, and dozens of retailers.
Being frustrated at the lack of opportunities in the food industry for people of color, she built the first black owned food hall in the nation. To date, she is a sought-after Business Attorney and food hall Developer with three new food hall projects currently underway.
April has advised hundreds of companies, from mom and pops to corporations, and she has worked with some of the best and brightest. Her client list spans from the neighbor next door -to politicians -athletes, and celebrities. In short, people trust her with their ideas because of her quiet and strategic nature.
April has been honored by some of the most elite organizations, she sits on numerous boards and commissions in an effort to level the playing field for those that have been systematically disenfranchised.
